School Watercolor Paints
School watercolors for first pictures and big ideas
Yellow and blue make green — and an ordinary afternoon becomes a painting adventure. School watercolor paints belong in art lessons and creative sessions at home, where children can try mixing shades, handling a brush and bringing their ideas to paper.
Choose clearly arranged basic-color sets, larger palettes or practical travel packs. At Krajinka, you will find watercolors such as Faber-Castell Connector, Staedtler Noris, Kores, MFP and Toy Color. Some sets also include a brush or other accessories — check the individual product for the exact contents.
For school, follow the teacher’s requirements; for painting at home, choose according to the child’s age and the way they like to create. What matters is that the paints are comfortable to use and encourage children to try another picture.

How to choose watercolors for school and home
For school, follow the supply list
Before buying, check the required number of colors and any other school instructions. A smaller set of basic shades can work well for learning to mix colors, while a larger set provides a more convenient choice of ready-made shades. The number of colors alone does not determine paint quality.
Practical packaging makes creating easier
Consider how clearly the palette is arranged, how the box closes and what is included. A compact set is useful for carrying, while a larger working area can be welcome at home. Some ranges allow individual colors to be replaced; always check replacement compatibility for the particular product.
Have a brush and suitable paper ready
Alongside the paints, prepare a water container, a brush and paper intended for watercolor painting. For wetter techniques, watercolor paper is a good choice. Cover the work surface and have a cloth ready to absorb excess water from the brush.
Color mixing as a small discovery
Begin with a few shades and let children explore how their combinations and the amount of water change the result. Rinse the brush between colors to keep the palette clean. Pick up more paint for a stronger mark or add water for a softer wash.
Age guidance and care depend on the set
Follow the recommended age, usage instructions and information on the packaging. Do not assume that every watercolor paint washes off skin or out of clothing. After painting, clean the brush, reshape its bristles and let the paints dry as needed before closing the box.
